UA Student From Mobile Named to McNair Program

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Aria Robinson of Mobile has been selected as a 2005 McNair Scholar at The University of Alabama.

During the summer of 2005, under the guidance of faculty mentor Dr. Elizabeth Wilson, UA professor of education, Robinson is conducting research on the perceived impact among teachers of the No Child Left Behind initiative on the learning culture of public elementary schools.

The McNair Scholars Program is a prestigious scholarship and research program that helps prepare accomplished undergraduates for graduate study. A U.S. Department of Education TRIO program, McNair Scholars serves first-generation college students and students from other groups underrepresented in doctoral study
