Update Advisory Concerning Hurricane Dennis

Evaluating the best information available concerning Hurricane Dennis and the potential for severe weather in the Tuscaloosa area, The University of Alabama will be closed Monday, July 11, 2005. On-campus residence halls and apartments will not close. Essential services including food service for students will be provided for those already on campus. Plans are for The University of Alabama to officially re-open Tuesday, July 12 for normal operations including summer school classes.
Employees in non-essential areas of service should not report to work Monday, July 11. Employees whose services are essential during the time of this emergency closing should be in touch with their supervisor concerning their work schedule.
