TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Judge Judson W. Wells Sr. of Mobile has been named president of The University of Alabama National Alumni Association.

Wells began his term as UA NAA president on March 19. “This is like a dream come true for me to be able to serve the University this way,” Wells said.

His previous work with the UA NAA is extensive, including serving on the board of trustees for the Mobile County Chapter since 1988 and as chapter president in 1991-1992. He has also served as chairman of NAA Alabama Leadership Day and as athletic liaison chairman during his tenure as vice president for the NAA Executive Committee. He has also served as president of the UA Law School Alumni Association.

Wells is currently secretary of the Mobile Red Elephant club, first vice president of the Mobile Touchdown Club, and a member of the Mobile Bama Tip-Off Club. He is active in the community as president of the Alabama District Judges Association and is a member of the Senior Bowl Committee in Mobile.
