Hotel Association Chairman to Serve as UA Executive-in-Residence Feb. 28

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Pedro Mandoki, chairman of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, will serve as an executive-in-residence Monday, Feb. 28 for the College of Human Environmental Sciences’ Restaurant and Hospitality Management Program at The University of Alabama.

A 40-year lodging industry veteran, Mandoki is the president and CEO of Plantation Resort Management Inc. He was the sole owner of Plantation Resort Management until 1998 when it merged with ResortQuest International Inc.

ResortQuest International was the first branded vacation rental and property management company offering vacation rentals in premier resort destinations throughout the United States. Additionally, Mandoki is the owner and president of N.P. Hotel Group Inc., a hotel/resort management and consulting company that operates primarily in Florida.

The American Hotel & Lodging Association has some 10,000 property members nationwide, representing more than 1.4 million guest rooms. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., it provides members with advocacy on Capitol Hill, public relations and image management, education, research and information, and other services to ensure a positive business climate for the U.S. lodging industry.
