UA Community Service Office Helps Sponsor Homeless Animal Jamboree

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Office of Community Service and Volunteerism will co-sponsor the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter’s Homeless Animal Jamboree on Sunday, Nov. 10, from noon-5 p.m. on the UA Quad.

The TMAS and several other animal welfare organizations will be setting up tables to publicize their agencies and the specific causes they represent. On-site animal adoption will also be available.

UA’s Office of Community Service and Volunteerism is assisting the TMAS by sponsoring their use of campus grounds, promoting the event on campus and providing volunteers for the event. They also provide assistance throughout the year by placing student volunteers at the animal shelter.

For more information, contact Kelly Strickland at TMAS, 205/752-9101.
