Shelby to Speak at UA Nov. 4

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) will discuss U.S. policy on Israel and the Middle East at The University of Alabama on Monday, Nov. 4. The talk will be at 1 p.m. in Room 10, Alston Hall.

Shelby’s visit is cosponsored by the UA chapter of the College Republicans and the B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundation at UA. The talk is open to the public.

Alabama’s senior senator, Shelby serves as vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee. He is a graduate of UA’s undergraduate and law programs. The University’s new interdisciplinary science building, Shelby Hall, now under construction, is named in honor of Shelby and his wife, Dr. Annette Shelby.
