UA Restaurant and Hospitality Management Program Hosts Leadership Series

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama College of Human Environmental Sciences restaurant and hospitality management program will have professionals discuss career opportunities as part of the Spring Hospitality Leadership Series.

Bruce Szafran, the general manager of the Montgomery Country Club, will speak on Monday, March 18. He is a certified club manager and a member of the Club Managers Association of America.

Linda F. Higgison, the owner and CEO of The TCI Companies in Washington, D.C., will be on campus Monday, April 15. TCI, founded in 1977, is a full service national meeting and event management company specializing in education and event marketing.

Sessions will be held at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. in 205 Doster Hall. The 10 a.m. session will be in 203 Doster Hall.

The Hospitality Leadership Service invites leaders from the restaurant, hotel, country club and meeting industry to UA to meet students majoring in restaurant and hotel management. Students interested in these careers should attend.
