UA to Break Ground for Student Pavilion on Nov. 30

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama will break ground for a pavilion designed for student activities in an 11 a.m. ceremony, Friday, Nov. 30. The new building will be located adjacent to the Presidential Pavilion on McCorvey Drive on the UA campus.

The facility, to be known as the Four Seasons Pavilion, will be dedicated to the events and activities of student organizations. The 2,000-square-foot building will include a portable stage and an extensive patio area, and is expected to be completed by next August.

Dr. Sybil Todd, UA vice president for student affairs; Jon Macklem, president of the Student Government Association; and Mario Bailey, vice president of the UA Residence Hall Association and an SGA senator for the College of Arts and Sciences, will speak at the groundbreaking ceremony.
