UA Law Students Advance to National Competition

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama School of Law’s National Moot Court Team placed second in the regional competition held on Nov. 12-14 at the Law School.

The team will advance to national competition in New York City in early 2002.

Team members Ben McAninch and Mitesh Shah, both of Tuscaloosa, and Laura Robertson of Huntsville were led by team manager Jordan Montiel of Montgomery in competition with nine other law schools throughout the Southeast.

Allison Martin, the team’s faculty adviser, said she is pleased with the team’s performance. “We have a very talented and hard working team,” Martin said. “We are looking forward to the National Competition in New York.”
