UA Museum Features ‘Natural History with the Experts’ on Football Saturdays in Tuscaloosa

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama Museum of Natural History will host “Natural History with the Experts” three hours before kickoff of each of the three remaining Crimson Tide football games to be played here on Saturdays.

Before each game, a different UA scientist will be at Smith Hall on the campus Quad’s Northeast corner discussing his exhibit and answering questions. These programs are free and open to the public.

Upcoming attractions include: “Avery Island: Home of Tabasco Brand Pepper Sauce,” Oct. 20 (Alabama vs. Tennessee) with Dr. Ian Brown, an archaeologist; “My Favorite Fossils,” Nov. 3 (Alabama vs. LSU) with Dr. Ed Hooks, a paleontologist; and “Fishy Business,” Nov. 10 (Alabama vs. Mississippi State) with Bernard Kuhajda, a biologist.

Regular operating hours for the UA Museum of Natural History are 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, and 1 to 4:30 p.m. on Sundays. Admission is $2 for adults, and $1 for seniors and children.
