Media Advisory – National Conference on Disability Law set for Friday at UA School of Law

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama School of Law will host a national conference on disability law on Friday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Titled “Garrett, Disability Policy, and Federalism,” the conference will focus on the U.S. Supreme Court Board of Trustees of The University of Alabama vs. Garrett decision and its impact on Congress’s power to implement a disability policy and other civil rights programs where state government activities are involved.

Featured speakers will include leading law professors and legal practitioners from across the country, including Alabama Attorney General Bill Pryor. Pryor will be a panelist during the afternoon session beginning at 1 p.m.
