UA’s Duvall Named District Chair for CASE

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Jan Pruitt Duvall, associate director of The University of Alabama Office of University Relations and director of the UA Office of Marketing Communications, was recently named District III chair for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

District chairs help CASE achieve its mission and goals by coordinating programs in the organization’s eight geographic districts.

Duvall, originally from Gadsden, has a long history of service with CASE both at the district and international levels. She also has served as district secretary, a trustee and as a member of publications and communications commissions.

Duvall has served as UA’s associate director of University Relations since 1990, and as director of the UA Office of Marketing Communications since 1983. In 1977, she received a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University and later returned to receive a master’s degree in advertising and public relations with a cognate in the administration of higher education.
