UA School of Law to Host Atla College

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The University of Alabama School of Law will host the Association of Trial Lawyers of America Trial Advocacy College: Essentials of Civil Litigation, May 20-25 at the law school.

The event, co-sponsored by the UA School of Law and the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association, will include sessions and workshops on topics ranging from technology in the courtroom to strategies of settlement.

Event faculty will include Gregory S. Cusimano of Cusimano, Keener, Roberts, Kimberley & Miles in Gadsden; Delaine C. Mountain of Mountain & Associates in Tuscaloosa, and James R. Pratt of Hare, Wynn, Newell & Newton in Birmingham. Other faculty will travel from as far away as San Diego and New York.

With more than 56,000 members worldwide, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America is a broad-based coalition of attorneys, law professors, paralegals and law students that promotes justice and fairness for injured persons, safeguards victims’ rights, and strengthens the civil justice system through education and disclosure of information critical to public health and safety.
