TUSCALOOSA, Ala.– Jonathan William Macklem of Daphne was elected president of The University of Alabama Student Government Association (SGA) for 2001-02.
Macklem, with 67 percent of the vote, defeated Javan Shinar Bass of Montgomery.
Results show that 4,384 votes were cast, with 24.5 percent of the total student population voting in the SGA election.
