UA Rotc Sponsors High School Competition

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Army ROTC is sponsoring a Junior ROTC High School Drill Competition Thursday, Feb. 1, on the UA Quad.

The competition begins at 7:30 a.m. with a fitness test, followed at 8 a.m. by a

2-mile run from the Quad to the Student Recreation Center and back. Throughout the day, different drill competitions will be held on the Quad.

By hosting the event, Army ROTC is giving the high school students an opportunity to showcase their physical skills and what they can accomplish, said Larry Adams, NCO/senior instructor in the UA military science department.
