UA Habitat For Humanity Chapter To Hold Bashin’ To Build Event

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama chapter of Habitat for Humanity is offering students and faculty a chance to unleash their end-of-the-semester frustrations and help a worthy cause at the same time.

On Thursday, Dec. 7, Habitat for Humanity will sponsor the Bashin’ to Build Car Bash from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will take place on the UA Quad between Denny Chimes and Gallalee Hall.

Participants will pay 50 cents per bash or $5 for 30 seconds of unlimited bashing. Large hammers, bats and safety goggles will be provided. Refreshments also will be available.

Proceeds from the Bashin’ to Build Car Bash will go towards the building of a Habitat house in Tuscaloosa. The goal of the event is to raise money for Habitat for Humanity and to heighten awareness of problems associated with poverty housing.
