UA Media Planning Board Selects Student Leaders 2000-2001

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Media Planning Board (MPB) has named eight new student leaders for its publications and radio station.

Joseph Bryant of Birmingham (zip code 35216) was named editor, and Melinda Lintinger of Slidell, La., was named retail sales manager of The Crimson White (CW), UA’s student newspaper.

Bryant is a junior majoring in journalism. He has served as CW metro/state editor for the past semester. Lintinger is a junior advertising major who has worked for the CW as retail sales manager for the past year.

T.J. Beitelman of Tuscaloosa was named editor and Daisy Dodge of Tuscaloosa named business manager of the Black Warrior Review, a UA literary publication. Beitelman and Dodge are candidates in the master of fine arts program in the department of English.

Terrence Siggers of Tuscaloosa has been named station manager and Charles Daniel of Northport has been named patronship director of WVUA-FM, the UA student radio station. Siggers and Daniel are seniors majoring in telecommunication and film.

Noelle Dolbare of Montgomery, has been named editor and Catie Finley, of Hoover business manager of the Corolla, the UA yearbook. Dolbare is a junior majoring in health care management and Finley is a junior majoring in journalism.

The MPB is an oversight body for the Office of Student Media, which includes the CW, Corolla, WVUA, Black Warrior Review, Marr’s Field Journal and Southern Historian.
