Mobile Students Receive UA Law School Honors

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama School of Law honored several students from Mobile during recent Law Week activities.

Students recognized and the awards they received included:

Thad Austin Davis, The Coates, Dukes, Kirkpatrick and Crowley Award.

Richard S. Frankowski, The Stancil R. Starnes Scholarship and the George Peach Taylor Trial Ad Award.

John Franklin Isbell, The Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award.

Melissa Marie Lindquist, The Bankruptcy Commercial Law Section Award.

Evelyn Corwin McCafferty, The Spain and Gillon Scholarship, The Federal Bar Association Award for Excellence in the Study of Federal Jurisdiction, The Dean Thomas W. Christopher Wills and Trusts Award, The Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award, and the Hugo L. Black Scholar Award.

Ryan Scott Small, The Hugo L. Black Scholar Award.

Law Week 2000 consisted of various social and educational activities, including oral arguments heard by the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals and the final round of the Campbell Moot Court competition.
