TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama has named 24 outstanding students to be Capstone Men and Women, serving as official ambassadors for the University.
The organizationís primary work is to assist the offices of the University President, Admissions, and Alumni during functions held on campus and in other locations. Another important responsibility of the Capstone Men and Women is to host daily tours of the campus for prospective students and other visitors.
Limited to 24 of the most qualified undergraduates on campus, the Capstone Men and Women are chosen each February and have been part of the Universityís public relations program since 1962. Newly-chosen Capstone Men and Women and their hometowns are:

Selection criteria include having a grade point average of 2.67 or higher, involvement in campus activities, excellent oral communication skills, and poise in dealing with diverse groups.
