UA Hosts Alabama Leadership Day 2000

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama National Alumni Association (NAA) is sponsoring Alabama Leadership Day (ALD) 2000 on Saturday, Feb. 26, at the Bryant Conference Center at 9 a.m.

John Croyle, executive director of the Big Oak Ranch, is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at 12:15 p.m. in Sellers Auditorium.

The NAA has invited Alabama high school junior leaders, nominated by their school guidance counselors, to the event. Participants will receive an ALD certificate and gift from the NAA. The NAA expects approximately 1,100 participants from all over the state.

ALD is a free leadership conference that offers time management and leadership seminars, motivational speakers, and interaction with other high school and college student leaders as they develop their leadership skills. It provides high school students with information that will enhance their college experience.

A College Fair will be hosted by UA’s schools, colleges and departments. The parent panel will serve as a forum in which parents can ask questions to representatives from admissions, financial aid, alumni scholarships, housing, student life, campus dining, student receivables and academic affairs.
