Hahs Named Manager of UA’s Student Support Services Program

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama has named Debbie Hahs manager of the Student Support Services Program.

Student Support Services is a U.S. Department of Education TRIO funded program designed to provide academic support to under-represented and physically disabled students. The goal of the program is to enable these students to successfully complete baccalaureate degree requirements. Currently, 200 UA undergraduate students are receiving academic assistance, counseling and advising in this program.

Hahs, a Ph.D. candidate in educational research at UA, has served as manager of the Graduate Student Services Program in the Center for Teaching and Learning. Prior to coming to UA, Hahs was director of educational services at the Alabama Credit Union League and marketing director for Metro Credit Union in Springfield, Mo. She received a B.F.A. in graphic design and an M.B.A. in marketing from Southwest Missouri State University.
