Author/Professor Will Coleman to Lecture at UA on African-American Identity

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Dr. Will Coleman, author and theology professor, will discuss African-American identity throughout history on Tuesday, Jan. 25, from 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m., in ten Hoor Hall, room 30, on The University of Alabama campus.

The event, hosted by UA’s African-American Studies program, New College and the religious studies department, is free and open to the public and will include music by the UA Afro-American choir.

Coleman is a professor of theology at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Ga., and authored “Tribal Talk: The Literature and Theology of African-American Slave Narratives.”
