Dr. James M. Houston, one of the most highly-regarded spiritual thinkers and writers of our time, is presenting his lecture, “Wisdom for the Journey” on Friday, April 27 at 1 PM in Bryant Conference Center. His lecture is hosted by the Cognitive Dynamics Foundation; the UH-300 seminar, Art the Life; and the Honors College. Dr. Houston is one of the “ founding fathers" of Regent College in Vancouver, where he is Professor Emeritus of Spiritual Theology. He received his Doctorate in Philosophy from Oxford, where he taught from 1947 to 1971. He is a friend of C.S. Lewis, and he is the co-founder and Senior Fellow of the C.S. Lewis Institute in Washington, D.C. He is a prolific author, editor, and Christian scholar, and he is respected worldwide as a leader in Christian classics, historical theology, and the traditions of Christian spirituality.
