The Social Insecurities of a Female Planter in Colonial South Carolina, 1700-1710

In honor of Women's History Month, Aaron Hoggle will present his research on an 18th century English heiress who travels to the American colonies to buy a plantation in hopes of improving her social status.  This event is sponsored by the Women and Gender Resource Center, the Dept. of History, and Phi Alpha Theta.
