Date: Wednesday, February 14, 2018
Time: 12:00 PM - 01:00 PM
Location: Alabama Digital Humanities Center, 109A Gorgas Library
Do you work with texts and need to track patterns within them? To identify moments when particular characters, ideas, events or figures of speech occur? Do you work with manuscripts unavailable in print and dream of a digital edition? Would you like to edit your own digital text or work with your class to create digital annotations of a text? This session will introduce you to some of the possibilities of text encoding and the ways in which the Alabama Digital Humanities Center can be of assistance in text encoding projects.
Mary Alexander, metadata librarian, and Emma Annette Wilson, digital scholarship librarian, will be leading the session.
