This workshop will focus on how to understand and address the impact of psychological trauma in a variety of formats, including emotional, dysregulation, hypervigilance, avoidance, control and trust. It also will:

  • Increase participants understanding of how to maintain self-awareness and connection during challenging encounters
  • Provide assurance and help to reframe negative self-assumptions following emotionally challenging work experiences
  • Help improve communication and support between all members of a team and actuate an empowered model of compassionate self and peer care

Speaker: Kenneth R. Yeager, PhD, MSW, LISW-S, LICDC

Kenneth R. Yeager is the David E. Schuller Professor for Patient Compassion and a clinical associate professor in the College of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry at The Ohio State University. He also serves as director of the college’s Stress Trauma and Resilience (STAR) Program.
