An Open Discussion of Diversity in America Post-Charlottesville
Following the recent events at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and the University of California-Berkeley, many students may be returning to campus this fall with questions, concerns and fear. To address students’ concerns, the School of Social Work is hosting an open discussion about race, religion, and politics in the U.S. as a follow up to these and other recent events. Students are encouraged to participate and share their thoughts about the political and social responses to these events. Students also will be asked to share how they promote social work values on campus and within the community. This is meant to be a civil discussion facilitated by faculty members who will address issues that are most important to students.
