This forum will provide information to students and community members about rape/sexual assault law in Alabama, federal laws that protect student survivors of rape/sexual assault, resources available to survivors on UA Campus, and what students can do if they or someone they know has been raped or sexually assaulted. The panelists will also suggest what they believe needs improvement with regards to the law and resources, and how students, faculty, and community members can help end rape on campus.

The community forum will be the fourth held by the UA Department of  Criminology and Criminal Justice. The department held "Mass Incarcerations in America: Where Do We Go From Here?" in October 2016, “Cyber Crime and Stolen Data" on campus in October 2015, and “From the Station to the Sidewalks: An Informed Discussion of Police and Community Relations in Light of Ferguson” in October 2014.
