Time: 08:00 PM - 09:00 PM
Location: Alston 10 Alston Hall
Seminars will be held on Mondays at 8:00 PM, in Alston Hall, Room 10. See the outlined schedule below.
The Culverhouse Investment Management Group will be hosting Value Investing Seminars throughout the Spring 2017 semester. There are two tracks. The first track is for students with limited financial experience; we will cover the basics of company valuation and stock-market investing. The second track (marked by asterisks below) is for students who have seen some of the material before and feel relatively comfortable with accounting and are familiar with some investing terminology.
Students of all majors and backgrounds are welcome to attend whichever sessions they’d like. Seminars will be hosted by members of the Culverhouse Investment Management Group, in conjunction with the group’s adviser, Fitzpatrick Professor of Value Investing John Heins. Attendees will develop an effective skillset for use in research, financial modeling, and stock market analysis, and attendance will factor into Fall 2017 CIMG applications.
