EPSCoR (formerly Experimental now Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research) is a federal research granting program at the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy (DOE), NASA, Department of Defense (DoD), USDA, and the National Institutes of Health.  EPSCoR was started in 1979 at the NSF in response to the distribution of research and development funding going to only a few states.  Alabama became eligible for NSF EPSCoR in 1985 and is currently eligible for competitive EPSCoR and EPSCoR-like programs at NSF, DOE, NASA, and DoD.  During this one hour presentation, Charlotte Nix, Alabama EPSCoR Program Administrator, will provide an introduction to the EPSCoR Programs for which Alabama is eligible, Alabama EPSCoR staff, the impact of EPSCoR awards on our state, past EPSCoR awards, and the state program that supports graduate students.

Lunch will be provided for those who register by noon March 23, 2020. Please e-mail Kim Skelton if you have special dietary needs.
