School of Social Work will host a Diversity Committee Lunch and Learn
Charles Woods,, Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, will provide a historical context of the voting rights struggle that contributed to the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Also, Andrew Grace and Chip Brantley, authors of podcast series “White Lies” will describe the work they completed on the project investigating the murder of Rev. James Reeb in Selma, AL and to expose the narrative in the community that prevented the murder from being solved or the men from being held account.
