The University of Alabama School of Social Work (UASSW) and Southwestern University of Finance and Economics Research Institute of Social Development (SWUFE) invites scholars to attend the inaugural international UASSW/SWUFE Collaborative Conference on “Building China and U.S. Social Work Research and Teaching Collaborations.”
This refereed and international conference is the outcome of the scholarly partnership initiated in 2017 between the academic departments of SWUFE Research Institute of Social Development and the UASSW.
The overarching goal of this conference is to build faculty collaborations between Alabama and Chinese scholars for the purposes of producing research/publications, quality teaching, and culturally sensitive best practices in social work practice. The conference will open with plenary speakers from both China and U.S. describing their “Vision for Collaboration between Chinese and U.S. Scholars.”
Keynote Speakers will be Dr. Huamin Peng, Dean of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, and Dr. David Albright, Hill Crest Foundation Endowed Chair in Mental Health, Director of the Office for Military Families and Veterans, and Associate Professor of Social Work at UA.
