[College of Arts and Sciences]


Students in the College of Arts and Sciences may elect one of the following minors in the College of Human Environmental Sciences, subject to the provisions stated on p. 64-66. All require a minimum of 6 hours at the 300 or 400 level earned on this campus.

Apparel and textiles. This minor requires 21 hours of clothing and textile courses, including CTD 102, CTD 261, CTD 281, CTD 446 or CTD 447, and at least 6 hours in courses at the 300 or 400 level, selected in consultation with the department head.

Consumer sciences. This minor requires 18 hours of CSM courses, including CSM 201, CSM 204, and 12 additional hours selected in consultation with a departmental adviser. Six hours must be at the 300 or 400 level.

Food and nutrition. This minor requires 18-20 hours, including NHM 101, NHM 201, NHM 253, and 6 hours in courses at the 300 or 400 level. The student is advised to plan the minor in consultation with a faculty adviser.

Human development and family studies. This minor requires 18 hours, including HD 202, HD 205, HD 302, HD 382, HD 462, and another three-hour course at the 300 or 400 level. Additional information is available in 101 Doster Hall.
