The University's research and academic programs are the basis for extensive service activities and successful partnerships with businesses, nonprofit organizations and governments at the state, regional, national and international levels.
With outreach programs that are focused on K-12, community and economic issues, the University has a significant impact on the state of Alabama, returning three dollars for every one dollar invested in the University. Each year, UA contributes $1.7 billion to the state’s economy. Beyond the economic, The University of Alabama impacts the state of Alabama and the nation through its wide variety of outreach programs.
