Periodically, the College of Engineering at The University of Alabama has Research Position vacancies under a variety of contracts, grants, and projects. Qualified individuals are being sought to establish a pool of readily available talented persons from which these vacancies can be filled as they occur.

The College of Engineering has research in the following broad areas:

 

Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics              Electrical and Computer Engineering

Chemical Engineering                                        Industrial Engineering

Civil and Environmental Engineering                  Mechanical Engineering

Computer Science                                            Metallurgical and Materials Engineering

 

Appointments to these Research Positions are for a specific period of time, are non-tenure earning, and may be renewable. There are four levels of Research Positions commensurate with a level of education: Assistant Research Engineer, Associate Research Engineer, Research Engineer, and Senior Research Engineer. Level of appointment and salary will be determined by the nature of the task and the credentials of the applicant. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
