
Entrepreneurship is an important part of UA's service to the communities we impact. The University is taking steps to make being an entrepreneur easier for students and alumni, and the emphasis on entrepreneurial activities at UA reflects the growth in opportunities for creativity in our world at large.
The Alabama Institute for Manufacturing Excellence recently held an “Elevator Pitch Competition” for UA students as part of The University of Alabama Year of the Entrepreneur. The event consisted of a 90-second pitch to a group of judges and a five minute question-and-answer period.
