Training Available

CQI related training is provided through the campus' Office for Staff Training and Development. CQI Workshops will be scheduled for organizations by contacting Dr. Dew at (205) 348-9831.

Workshops include:

Leading Participative Meetings
Prepares managers in using meeting planning and management tools to lead energetic meetings.

Leading the Strategic Planning Process
Prepares managers to lead their organization in rapid development of strategic plans and in using strategic plans to guide day to day operations.

Consensus-based Decision Making
Provides skills in using rational decision making processes and in leading groups in achieving consensus.

Planning Skills
Teaches managers to use action plans and to perform potential problem analysis in preparation for important events.

Building & Sustaining Teamwork
Provides tools and techniques for helping organizations achieve high levels of task performance.

Coaching and Counseling Skills
Gives managers skills in coaching and counseling employees with performance problems.

Conducting An Organizational Self-Assessment
Provides methods and guidance for managers to use in conducting an assessment of their organization, including discussion of health charts and use of objective performance standards. on

Leading Continuous Improvement
Offers a management perspective on using CQI for achieving organizational objectives.

Creative Thinking
Introduces creative thinking tools, such as mind mapping, mountain climbing, and other methods to stimulate group and individual creativity.
