Dr. Morrison earned BSN, MN and DSN degrees from Mississippi College, the University of Washington, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham respectively with graduate majors in nursing administration. She teaches introduction to nursing research to undergraduate students and human relations management to graduate students. She holds Case Management Administration Certification by the Case Management Society of America and is a peer reviewer for Nursing Education Perspectives. She has received awards for outstanding teaching from the Alabama State Nurses’ Association and the Alabama League for Nursing as well as Outstanding Alumnus of Mississippi College School of Nursing. Professional memberships include National League for Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, Alabama State Nurses’ Association, and the Southern Nurses Research Society. She will be inducted as President of the Alabama State Nurses' Association in September, 2006. Her research interest is in outcomes of nursing case management intervention.
