The Capstone College of Nursing (CCN) stands on the brink of unprecedented growth and opportunity for students. The College is committed to providing excellent nursing education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, preparing its students to perform in a variety of health care settings. To do this, the College must reach out to its friends and supporters to fulfill its vision. CCN’s two top fundraising priorities in the Our Students. Our Future. campaign are bricks-and-mortar for a new building and scholarships.
Our vision is to build a state-of-the-art facility to house the College of Nursing at The University of Alabama. The proposed building, as shown above, will be the first facility on our campus designed specifically for the education of nurses. Over the past several years faculty and staff have worked closely with the architect to design a functional building that is both efficient in its use of space and effective in educating nurses for tomorrow’s health care delivery systems. The estimated cost for the new building is $20 million.

As the Capstone College of Nursing grows, so too must its scholarship support in order to meet the increasing financial needs of its students. Our goal is to raise $1 million toward scholarships to help us recruit and retain the best and brightest to meet tomorrow’s need for nurses.
