Netstorage
Remote access to your CCN files.
Providing simple, Internet-based access to file storage, NetStorage allows you to securely access files from any Internet location - with nothing to download or install.
Log into Netstorage
Access Netstorage from the provided link on the CCN Start Page, http://nursing.ua.edu/start_page.htm located in the left column of links. Netstorage using Internet Explorer is shown below. (Follow these links for instructions on Google Chrome & Mozilla Firefox)
If using Internet Explorer you may see something like this. Click Continue to this website.
Login using your CCN Novell Netware creditials.
This interface will show two panes: mapped drives appear in the left side with their contents to the right. The h:\ drive / user drive / My Documents displays as Home@NUR.
Highlight Home@NUR to display its contents.
Downloading a file
Double-click a file to download. As always Internet Explorer will initially block the download.
Click the yellow bar to download the file.
Save the file to a known location.
Uploading a File
Click on File, Upload using the Netstorage menu.
Click Browse from the Upload File window.
Locate the file to upload and click Open.
Logging out of Netstorage
Click on File, Logout using the Netstorage menu.
Wait for the You Are Now Logged Out page then close the browser.
FAQ
If Internet Explorer does not seem to work, try this:
- Launch Internet Explorer
- Click on the Tools menu and select Internet Options
- Click on the Advanced tab
- Scroll down to the Security section
- Make sure Use SSL 2.0 is checked
- Make sure Use SSL 3.0 is checked
- Click OK to save your changes
- Exit Internet Explorer and re-launch
