Mary Ann Kelley has been teaching for over 14 years and has been working in nursing for over 20 years. She received her BSN from Mississippi University for Women, Columbus, MS in 1983; her MSN from University of Mississippi at the Medical Center in Maternal-Newborn Clinical Nurse Specialty in 1989; and her DSN from University of Alabama at Birmingham in nursing education in 2002. Her research interests include maternity, women’s health, minority student retention, and early detection of breast cancer. Dr. Kelley recently received a grant to implement a church based breast health program in rural Alabama from the The North Central Alabama Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
