We are pleased that you have selected The University of Alabama in meeting your graduate career goals. The goal of all our degree programs is to produce qualified and caring advanced practice nurses prepared to face the challenges of the future in nursing. Graduates of the program may sit for a number of case management certification exams with the appropriate clinical experience requirements. Students may choose to attend on a part-time or full-time basis, and the M.S.N. program may be completed fully via a distance learning modality.
The M.S.N./Ed.D. or Ed.D. for Nurse Educators Program is designed to prepare practicing nurses for faculty professorship positions in higher education. A new cohort of students is admitted each fall semester to this full-time program of study, taught in weekend block and blended online format.
The Doctor of Nursing practice (DNP) Program is a practice-focused
degree to prepare graduates to practice at the highest level in specialty
practice or to assume leadership positions in health care. Students may
choose to attend on a part-time or full-time basis, and the DNP program
may be completed fully via a distance learning modality.
