Ambassadors
The Capstone College of Nursing Ambassadors are the official student
representatives for the College. They represent our top students and
are true "ambassadors" for the College, providing service to
the College, promoting pride in the College, and communicating information
about the College to the public.
Primary activities include:
- Assisting with homecoming and academic advising
activities
- Serving as
host/hostess during CCN events, including the Alabama Nursing Hall
of Fame ceremonies, Honor’s Day activities, commencement
receptions and at the scholarship recognition banquet.
- Providing information
for parents, incoming freshman and transfer students, alumni, and other
visitors
Persons interested in becoming a CCN Ambassador may submit an application
to the Ambassador Advisor, Pat
McCullar, during the advertised enrollment
period each spring. Applications can be picked up in Room 121 of Russell
Hall.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 once accepted
- Must have completed 25 hours at The
University of Alabama by the end of the Spring Semester of application,
OR be enrolled in Semesters I or II of the upper division, OR enrolled
in the RN Mobility program
- Must
be able to positively represent the CCN at special functions
- Must
be willing to volunteer a minimum of 12 hours per semester or when
situations arise and services are needed
