"I
have always been motivated toward achievement. The professional
training in machining and manufacturing and, more importantly,
in solving engineering problems provides me a solid foundation
for my future career. A Ph.D. is a prerequisite in order to move
up the career ladder. I am climbing one level higher by pursuing
my Ph.D. at the University of Alabama."

"After
I got my master's degree two years ago, I felt I still needed to
know more about mechanical engineering. The University of
Alabama has a good reputation and a qualified faculty. I believe
that my graduate study at this university will help me achieve
my goal.
A variety of courses and
state-of-the-art facilities are provided by the Department of
Mechanical Engineering. I am not only able to concentrate on my
specific research but also have opportunities to study in
related fields. My adviser's instruction and encouragement also
make my study more fruitful and enjoyable."
