SUMMER 2008 DEADLINES
GRADUATE SCHOOL DEADLINES
FOR MASTER'S DEGREE
Students who are planning to graduate this Summer must meet certain deadlines set by the Graduate School Office. Please notify the Graduate School Office at once if you will be unable to meet the deadlines below:

June 4-6 Application for Degree must be on file in the Graduate School Office who anticipate graduating this summer. A $10.00 fee is charged if you apply to graduate and graduation requirements are not met. (Application for admission to candidacy should precede applying for degree. It is the student's responsibility to see that admission to candidacy is on file in the Graduate School Office.) Both forms are available at: http://graduate.ua.edu/forms.html
During the Month of July Pay Office of Student Receivables diploma fee (Box 870120, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35487-0120 or via mybama.ua.edu)
July 25 Results of comprehensive examinations must be in the Graduate School Office.

 

PLAN I STUDENTS — Additional Deadlines

June 20 An approved thesis title card (typed) submitted to Graduate School Office. Available online at http://graduate.ua.edu/academics/forms/ or in the Graduate School Office.
June 27
Thesis due in the Graduate School. NO EXCEPTIONS! (See the Student Guide for Preparing Thesis and Dissertations at http://graduate.ua.edu/thesis/ for required formatting.) Enclose the following in a typing paper box with a cover and do not submit any items separately: 

1. Receipt from Office of Student Receivables for thesis binding fee--$25.00 

2. Thesis--two copies on l00% rag bond paper.

3. Thesis acceptance pages (to be bound in thesis as page ii) in triplicate, typed and approved with original signatures on each. Sample is shown online in the Student Guide for Preparing Thesis and Dissertations.

4. Abstract required. See the online Student Guide for Preparing Thesis and Dissertation for details.
