SPRING 2007 DEADLINES

DEADLINES FOR MASTER'S DEGREE STUDENTS

 
Students who are planning to complete requirements for a Master's degree for May graduation must meet certain deadlines set by the Graduate School Office. A $10.00 fee is charged if you apply to graduate and graduation requirements are not met. PLEASE NOTIFY THE GRADUATE SCHOOL OFFICE AT ONCE IF YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO MEET THE DEADLINES BELOW.
 
January 2-18 Application for Degree must be on file in the Graduate School Office by those students who anticipate graduating this spring. A $10.00 fee is charged if you apply to graduate and graduation requirements are not met. (Application for admission to candidacy should precede applying for degree. It is the student's responsibility to see that admission to candidacy is on file in the Graduate School Office.) Both forms are available at: http://graduate.ua.edu/forms.html
During the Month of April Pay office of Student Receivables diploma fee $41.00 (Box 870120, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487-0120)
April 23 Results of comprehensive examinations must be in the Graduate School Office. (Pertains only to those students following Plan II.)
 

PLAN I STUDENTS — ADDITIONAL DEADLINES

March 2 Approved thesis title card with the exact title (TYPED) by this date. The card is available in the Graduate School office and in our website at: http://graduate.ua.edu/forms.html
March 30 Results of comprehensive examinations must be in the Graduate School Office.
March 30 Last day to submit successfully defended and edited thesis to the Graduate School Office . NO EXCEPTIONS!(ENCLOSE ALL ITEMS IN A TYPING BOX WITH A COVER AND DO NOT SUBMIT ANY ITEMS SEPARATELY) 
  1. Receipt from Office of Student Receivables for thesis binding fee--$25.00
  2. Thesis--two copies on l00% rag bond paper.
  3. Thesis acceptance page-- three copies  typed in triplicate on 100% rag bond paper & approved with original signatures on each. Sample is shown in the manual provided by the Graduate School Office or can be seen in our website: Preparing Theses and Dissertations
  4. Abstract--two copies on 100% rag bond paper. To be bound with thesis as the last preliminary page before the body of the paper. Sample is shown in the manual provided by the Graduate School Office or can be seen in our website: Preparing Theses and Dissertations
May 12 COMMENCEMENT. The Office of Academic Records will send graduation information to May applicants in mid-April.
