for completing Application for Admission to Doctoral or Ed.S. Program from a Master's Program in the same department/area at the University of Alabama

NOTE: Some departments and programs do not accept this expedited form. Applicants wishing to use this expedited form should contact their departments to see that they accept the expedited application and if a new statement of purpose and/or new test score are required.


FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
 
  1. Complete the Expedited Online Application Form if you are a currently enrolled Master's student at The University of Alabama applying to the Ed.S. or Doctoral Program in the same department or area as your Master's Program.
  2. As required by the department or program to which application is made, applicants should contact their departments to see if new test scores (ETS:TOEFL/GRE, PearsonVue:GMAT, Harcourt:MAT) are required.
  3. Applications should be completed and received by the Graduate School at least six weeks prior to your anticipated date of registration. However, some departments may have earlier deadlines. See the Graduate Catalog to review departmental deadlines.
  4. Assistantships, Fellowships, and Financial Aid: Many types of financial support are available, including Graduate Council Fellowships, Graduate Council Research Fellowships, departmental teaching assistantships, and departmental research assistantships. Please, contact the department in which you are interested to obtain information and application procedures for assistantships and fellowships. Information for financial assistance for minority students is available through the Graduate School Office of Minority Student Assistance, Box 870118, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487-0118. Applications for loans and workstudy assignments must be made through the Office of Student Financial Aid, Box 870162, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487-0162.
