Rural Medical Scholars help staff the interdisciplinary mobile health unit in Hale County as part of the Bristol Myers-Squibb “Coalition for a Healthier Black Belt” Project led by West Alabama Mental Health Center.   The mobile unit will provide health screenings, therapeutic services, and prescription assistance for individuals who are uninsured or underinsured for primary care and / or behavioral care medications.
