Welcome to the Psychology Trainee Program at The University Medical Center

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine offers a number of clinical placements within University Medical Center.  University Medical Center is a vibrant clinical setting offering a variety of training opportunities for graduate students in the Clinical Psychology Programs at the University of Alabama.  Currently, Nancy Rubin, Psy.D., Clinical Psychologist and Director of Psychology Clinical Services, Research and Training provides the majority of the supervision.  The Clinical Psychologist providing supervision from the Department of Psychology at The University of Alabama is Laura Klinger, Ph.D., who specializes in child psychology and supervises in the ADHD and High Risk Clinics and individual cases in the Betty Shirley Clinic.

Placements for Graduate Students in Clinical Psychology:

• 20 hour Advanced Clinical Practicum Placement
  
• 8-10 hour Advanced Clinical Practicum Placement (volunteer)
  
• ADHD Clinic (volunteer)
  
• Family Clinic (volunteer)
