University Medical Center

                           

The University Medical Center is a state-of-the art ambulatory care setting for medical students and residents.  Faculty physicians working in a multi-specialty group practice serve approximately 59,000 patients each year.

DCH Regional Medical Center

A substantial portion of the medical students’ inpatient educational experience is based in DCH Regional Medical Center, one of the largest acute care hospitals in Alabama.     Approximately 24,000 admissions each year are made in a 583-bed medical center.

VA Medical Center

 

The Veterans Administration Medical Center, also located in Tuscaloosa, is another valuable resource for training in psychiatry.  There is also an affiliation with Bryce Hospital and Partlow State School, where selected educational experiences for medical students are provided.
